Who we are
Pennine Outdoor Pursuits is an award winning training organisation established in 1987, offering tuition in a variety of outdoor activities for all ages and abilities all over the country.
We will train you from a half-day introductory taster through to advanced courses and on to leader and instructor training and assessments. All of our senior staff are assessors for National Governing Body Awards. Pennine staff pride themselves on teaching on a very personal basis and tailoring courses to suit individual needs.
We can provide activities, equipment, instructors, vehicles and insurance cover for activities all over the UK — half-day and full-day introductions, 2-day multi-activity courses, and full residential week-long multi-activity programmes.

What we run
Climbing and abseiling tuition on natural crags and towers, from first-time tasters to technique coaching.
Run with Pennine National Caving — streamways, squeezes and vertical pitches for all levels of experience.
Canoeing, raft building and raft racing based at the Derby Canoeing Centre.
Orienteering, hill walking, navigation training, map and compass skills, boulder hopping and weaselling.
Archery, shooting, paintball games, karting, treasure hunts, circus skills and outdoor problem-solving games.
Leader and instructor training and assessment — our senior staff are National Governing Body Award assessors.
